When I wake up in the morning just recently I have added a short little prayer called the
מודה אני to my daily routine. I have decided it is appropriate to acknowledge God when I first wake up.
.מודה אני לפניך, מלך חי וקים, שהחזרת בי נשמתי בחמלה, רבה אמונתך
"I render thanks to you, everlasting king, who has mercifully restored my soul within me; your faithfulness is great."
