My Journey In Becoming a Baal Tsuvah

Our journey has just begun and I am returning to the laws of Judaism and my wife Sandy is converting. We are embarking on this journey to become closer to God. The effort is a bit scary and filled with a lot of unknowns, but we are doing this with happy hearts and are both in awe over the path as it unfolds before us. It is the hope of Sandy and I that whoever reads this blog will see that what we are attempting to accomplish is very possible for anyone.

Welcoming In The Sabbath

Tonight Sandy and I will welcome in the Sabbath with the traditional prayers. We will light the candles, make a kiddish and say the blessing over the challah. We have been lax in doing this lately and resolved to try to correct this on this erev shabbat.
